Robertstown Canal
Robertstown is a quaint canal town with a hotel and was still used by pleasureboaters. We had tried to take a canal boat ride out to it but it was cancelled. The canal split in two branches just west of town.

This was taken from a small parking lot just north of the visitor's center. There is a Charles Kuralt Nature trail which starts at the visitiors center.

Walk down to Coquina Beach from the parking area
Coquina Beach is a part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It is the northern most point of the point and the best beach in the Nags Head area
The Sand Castle
This is the picnic area and the area set aside for Park Programs at Coquina Beach National Park
Humpback Rock
Off of the Blue Ridge Parkway south of I-64. It is across the road from a restored mountain farm. If you take the trail back down to the picnic area you will end up a couple of miles from your car.
Blue Hole
This is a small smimming hole on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains which is apparently very popular but is a lot of work to get to. Be sure to wear sandals when going into the water since it is rocky. It is a very nice walk up to Blue Hole.

The very bold reach out to grab a rope and swing out over the deep hole to plung to the bottom.
